After many successful years of lawyer recruitment, we had built deep relationships with key people, law firms and companies, and had earned the trust and respect of the legal community. But, we wanted to do things differently. We wanted to ensure a more personalised, creative and highly responsive recruitment experience to those we work with. John Petherick
John has over 20 years of specialised recruitment experience, gained in leading consultancies in Canada and the UK. He’s highly skilled in finding opportunities and guiding successful career moves. John’s network is well established, and includes lawyers, CEO’s, CFO’s and business leaders in Vancouver and Calgary. As Partner at Edge, Johns focus is Associate recruitment both in-house and in private practise. John takes time to get to know people, and to understand what is important to them. He guides and advises lawyers expertly, exceeding expectations.
Prior to joining Edge, John led large recruitment teams in-house, and at a tier one international recruitment agency. He has been widely recognized for his success with a variety of President’s Club and Chairman’s Club awards. John was consistently ranked in the top 3% of recruiters globally in an organization that had in excess of 10,000 recruiters. When not working, John is a busy father of three children. He coaches youth Soccer, and is an avid (obsessed?) follower of Soccer, Rugby, Tennis, Cricket and The Olympics.
Lindsey Petherick
Lindsey focusses on Partner and Associate hiring for national law firms, and Senior in house hiring for companies. Lindsey has nearly 20 years of legal recruitment experience, and a vast network of senior lawyers and law firm managers. Lindsey is an experienced and committed professional and offers a consultative, and straightforward approach to everyone she works with.
A proud Scot, Lindsey began placing Canadian Associates into law firms in London, Dubai and New York in the 2000’s. Lindsey’s career grew fast, and her local practise in Vancouver and Calgary thrived. She soon spearheaded high level recruitment campaigns for international firms, national firms and helped grow hundreds of legal teams in-house. Today, Lindsey is regularly called upon by Canada’s top law firms on strategic and creative search assignments. A recognised market expert, she is often the first person Partners want to call when looking for a better platform. Her advise is honest and practical, and gets results. When not working, Lindsey is with her family, busily trying to maintain some semblance of order at home. This is an area for growth.
